This application should be completed by all applicants for any volunteer roles serving children, youth, group or team leaders, and safety. The purpose of this form is to assist in the creation of a safe environment for volunteers, children, and church attendees who participate in Gateway programs.

Gateway is committed to the protection of volunteers, children, and the church; and aligning its processes with current best practices. The field of abuse prevention is ever-changing and we are working hard to adapt and maintain a safe and healthy environment for all.

We work hard to protect your privacy. The volunteer application is hosted in Planning Center which is a GDPR-compliant system with encryption. Planning Center application servers use AES 256 encryption. SSL encryption is a standard on the internet, and 256 bit encryption goes a little beyond what some banks use (example: Well Fargo bank uses 128 bit SSL). In addition, the Gateway staff who have access to volunteer applications is limited and information is kept confidential unless a child's safety is negatively impacted by confidentiality.
